Cédric Berthet

Can you briefly introduce yourself and your role within the HYDREAMS project? 

I am Cédric Berthet, Sales Director at Halias. In the HYDREAMS project, I am the coordinator between the consortium members and our developers and data scientist, making sure that the digital tools developed and deployed for the project match the requirements of both steel companies and Europe. 

How does the collaboration within HYDREAMS align with your company’s sustainability goals? 

Our company is strongly involved in the decarbonation and environmental impact measurements of industrial activities. We provide software solutions for several projects such as renewable energy mixes, industrial process optimization, hydropower monitoring, solar panel characterizations, quarries and mining. HYDREAMS is an opportunity to develop innovative software solutions for the stainless-steel industry.  

 What excites you most about the HYDREAMS project and its mission? 

It is unlikely that the economy can move on without the stainless steel industry even if its environmental impact is strong. It is really exciting to think that you are involved in finding solutions in helping the industry achieve its decarbonization goals.
